We work with children with communication disorders, fine and gross motor challenges, emotional disorders, language delays, sensory integration issues, autism spectrum disorders, feeding disorders, and social skill challenges. We also focus on educating families, so they become allies in their child’s development and specific challenges. Job Summary: The ABA Therapist will provide direct instruction to individuals with Autism based on treatment plans and feedback provided by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The ABA Therapist will collect data on programs, apply program updates and communicate regularly with a BCBA regarding behavior intervention strategies and teaching methods. Duties/Responsibilities: * Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings utilizing a combination of Discrete Trial Teaching (DTT) and Natural Environment Teaching (NET) * Follow the prescribed skill acquisition and behavior intervention protocols including toilet training protocols. * Record data on observable client behavior. * Effectively communicate with parents and caregivers regarding client progress as instructed by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). * Utilize safe & appropriate handling procedures when working with clients. * Maintain client confidentiality. * Assist BCBAs, ABA Apprentice and fellow ABA Therapists/RBTs with skill acquisition and behavior reduction assessments. * Preparing client materials prior to therapy session as instructed. * Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment. * Train and provide feedback to new ABA Therapists during on-site shadow sessions * Maintain and acquire technical knowledge by attending required trainings with BCBAs and/or ABA Apprentice. * Respond to emails daily. * Same day SOAP note completion * May perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: * Ability to accept constructive feedback and develop knowledge and skill sets accordingly. * Effective time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at one time. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, co-workers, supervisors, and client families. * Ability to adhere to organizational policies and procedures and abide by code of ethics as indicated by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board * Commitment to maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA laws. * Commitment to ongoing training and development as it relates to clinical skills, professional development, ethics, and technology to perform job responsibilities to required standards. * Ability to interpret and implement clinical protocols * The belief that your amazing skill set can make a profound and lasting impact on the children you will work with while at Lumiere Children's Therapy Additional Information

  • RBT certification a plus
  • 1-2 years of experience with Autism/developmental disabilities a plus
  • On-site in our clinic and some home based therapy - we have an urgent need for an in-home client in the 60707 zip code
  • Day shift, potential availability on Saturdays
  • Mandarin/Cantonese/Taishanese speaking is a plus
