About the Role

Duties & responsibilities

  • Determine coverage and liability.
  • Obtain recorded statements of policyholders and other involved parties to the degree necessary to establish a liability determination.
  • Partner with appraisers/estimators to manage vehicle repairs.
  • Negotiate with customers and other insurance carriers and resolve claims.
  • Determine most appropriate course for establishing extent of damages.
  • Review damage appraisals for accuracy and payment.
  • Communicate claims procedures and process to involved parties verbally and in writing.
  • Comply with all required reporting requirements, such as ISO, CMS, etc.
  • Document activities in claim file notes in clear, complete & concise manner.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2 years of relevant work experience in Auto Liability Claims handling

Pay range

  • $50,000 + annually (dependent on experience/skills)
