Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing Clerk to join our finance team. The Billing Clerk will be responsible for accurately preparing, issuing, and managing invoices to ensure timely payments and proper record-keeping. The ideal candidate will have strong numerical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and issue accurate invoices to customers in a timely manner
Verify billing data and resolve discrepancies or errors in billing information
Maintain customer billing records and update account information as needed
Communicate with clients regarding billing inquiries and payment status
Collaborate with sales, customer service, and accounting teams to ensure accurate billing
Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on overdue payments
Assist with month-end and year-end billing processes and reporting
Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations
Maintain confidentiality of all billing and customer information
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in finance, accounting, or related field preferred
Previous experience in billing, invoicing, or accounting clerical work is an advantage
Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and billing software
Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail
Good organizational and time management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
