Founded in 1957, the Country Club of Darien began as a transformation of Edgar S. Auchincloss’s 200-acre family farm into a private retreat. The club features an award-winning 18-hole golf course originally designed by Alfred Tull and modernized by Dr. Michael Hurdzan, with accolades including the 2010 Renovation of the Year by Golf, Inc. About the Position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key executive team member, responsible for safeguarding the Club’s financial health and driving operational excellence. Reporting to the General Manager, the CFO leads financial strategy, ensures transparency, and aligns operations with the Club’s vision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop budgets, refine internal controls, and present financial reports to stakeholders.
  • Oversee accounting, auditing, tax compliance, and financial reporting.
  • Analyze financial data to enhance profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Supervise financial procedures, including payroll, receivables, and payables.
  • Partner with HR to manage Club benefit plans and organizational goals.
  • Provide strategic insights to drive growth and member satisfaction.
