We are seeking a CNC Machinist (
Set Up Relief Operator ) at our Cudahy, WI facility to work the weekend night shift Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 6pm-6am, with training held on 1st shift for 60-90 days, Monday-Friday, 7am-3pm. Following training you will work 36 hours but will be paid for 40. This position is responsible for all complete setups of CNC machines and running them on a relief basis.
Position responsibilities include:
\n - Follows engineering setup charts to perform initial assembly of tools
\n - Performs complete disassembly of jobs
\n - Arranges tooling
\n - Interprets program to install all tools in the machine and establish and put in offsets
\n - Performs complete machining of first piece
\n - Verifies all dimensions on machines to corresponds with drawing
\n - Running machines in a relief basis
\n

Requirements:
\n - High school diploma or equivalency required
\n - Ability to read blueprints
\n - 5-7 years of CNC experience
\n - Machining certificate preferred
\n

Basic Qualifications \n - High school diploma or GED
\n - At least 5 years of previous CNC operation experience.

Preferred Qualifications (in addition to Basic Qualifications)
\n - Experience as a CNC Vertical Turning Center Operator/Machinist
\n - Experience with metal forgings
\n - Machining Certification.
\n
\n
Skills \n - Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently to achieve goals and objectives
\n - Strong knowledge of basic machining principles, GD&T and ability to read blueprints
\n - Excellent analytical skills with the ability to use hand tools, measuring instruments and gauges to ensure proper setups and machining operations
\n - Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
