Our Kehillot serve the areas of Bucks County, Buxmont, Center City, Chester County, Delaware County, Lower Merion, Northeast, and Old York Road. Each Kehillah works together within geographic areas to create inspired Jewish communities and offer programming and enrichment for all ages.

Our team uses relational engagement, event planning, and the resources of the Jewish Federation and each individual local community to:

  • Create a pipeline of communication and leadership development from a grassroots level to the work of the Jewish Federation
  • Serve individuals and families both connected to organized Jewish institutions and those who are underserved or disconnected
  • Strengthen relationships among institutions, synagogues, and their professional and lay leadership within the community

Each Kehillah supports a vibrant slate of communal gatherings including holiday programming, social action/mitzvah work, and philanthropic opportunities to its constituents.

This will entail setting a schedule of, planning, and running 4-6 Leadership Team meetings and 2-3 Coalition meetings per Kehillah per year. The CEM is responsible for overseeing the development of strategy and decision making for the budget and calendar of the Kehillot in partnership with their Leadership Teams, establishing a succession plan for leadership, and creating engaging content for Coalition meetings to attract and retain maximum participation.
