Job Description

Construction Laborer / Cleaning Technician Join a dynamic team in Lenoir, NC. This long-term project spans over two years and offers a unique opportunity to work on a high-profile construction site. You will be part of a skilled workforce contributing to general construction requirements, including temporary structure setup, construction cleanup, pressure washing, and more. Responsibilities Perform tasks involving physical labor at construction project job sites. Review jobsite needs with supervisors and superintendents to comprehend scopes of work per plans and specifications. Assist with jobsite cleanup, rough carpentry, site logistics, fencing, deck and platform building, protection systems, and construction waste management. Inventory supplies and communicate supply orders for re-stocking. Ensure compliance with safety codes, regulations, and jobsite standards. Understand work instructions, project signage, and safety instructions; inspect tools prior to use. Participate in daily Pre-Task Plans, follow safety protocols, and wear appropriate PPE. Perform selected demolition and participate in subcontractor and supplier activities. Review project perimeter for security and cleanliness daily, and assist in end-of-day cleanup activities. Perform fire watch duties and construct scaffolding as needed. Manage dumpster vendor schedule and maintain cleanliness and organization of dumpster areas. Serve as a spotter for heavy equipment operators. Ensure security of equipment and work areas during operations. Identify, communicate, and escalate problems and issues to supervisors for resolution. Track production of completed tasks and assist other craft workers as directed. Maintain positive working relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and other employees. Essential Skills Minimum of 6 months of construction experience. Proficiency in using power tools and tape measurers. Ability to read a tape measure. Skills in carpentry, concrete, and hand tools. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to communicate effectively and escalate issues when necessary. Experience with safety protocols and equipment operation. Why Work Here?
