Job Description

The EHS Manager is accountable for providing leadership and guidance to achieve world-class EHS performance. They will offer advice to the JLL management team regarding workplace safety, assess potential hazardous situations and environmental impacts, conduct accident investigations, and site inspections, and ensure that JLL complies with all statutory and client requirements. The main responsibility of this role is to develop, implement, maintain, and continually improve proactive Health and Safety programs. The ultimate goal is to foster a cultural transformation towards zero incidents and injuries. The EHS Manager will also review programs, policies, plans, and specifications to ensure that EHS compliance issues are effectively addressed. It is crucial for the individual in this position to stay well-informed and up to date on federal, state, and local regulatory requirements. Moreover, they will provide guidance to the local Site Leadership Team to ensure compliance with these requirements. Responsibilities include evaluating and identifying standards and controls for safety and health hazards, monitoring compliance with regulations and company standards, providing day-to-day health, safety, industrial hygiene and environmental support and guidance to facility personnel, performing EHS inspection audits and reviewing investigation reports, managing injury reporting and workers compensation activities, conducting and scheduling classroom training programs, reviewing and approving JHAs/PTPs, creating site-specific safety procedures, assisting in compliance with audit programs, driving EHS culture initiatives, managing high hazard prevention programs, completing legal requirements and risk assessments, managing 3rd party contractors for compliance, reviewing annual EHS programs, and managing all EHS programs related to JLL staff and subcontractors. The role also involves leading and developing an EHS Specialist, analyzing and interpreting statistical data for corrective actions, re-evaluating programs and initiatives, providing EHS performance data, developing strong relationships with site management and client EHS organizations, coordinating environmental responses, and supporting client storm-water management programs. The work schedule is dayshift with on-call availability required. Desired experience includes 1st Aid, CPR & AED Instructor training, life sciences environment experience, and FDA experience. Required qualifications include a degree in safety management, industrial hygiene, environmental science, or relevant field with 5+ years of professional H&S management experience, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, knowledge of Federal, State, and Local HS laws and regulations, presentation and training experience, strong analytical skills, client service orientation, organizational skills, proficiency in computer and office software, and willingness to support other local sites as needed.
