About Our Internship Program The Colorado Eagles are committed to providing college students with a one-of-a-kind internship program that will prepare you for your future career in the sports industry. With the Eagles you will be able to learn from some of the best in the industry and strengthen your skills and knowledge in sports management. Interns will have the opportunity to work closely with Eagles front office staff members and learn how a professional team operates through a multitude of real-life tasks and situations. How To Make Our Team Our interns bring a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills. Working in sports requires a large time commitment so we expect that all interns will be available for 80% of games and some events. Games and events can fall on nights, weekends, and/or holidays, and we ask that you understand this before applying. We require that all interns have a reliable form of transportation to and from games and community events and maintain a professional appearance when working for the Eagles. Why Event And Video Production? When you attend a sporting event, chances are you have caught yourself watching the jumbotron for all the replays and video content. Through the hard work of ticketing and marketing departments, fans come in the doors, but event production is what keeps the game running smoothly. You will be apart of the crew making sure our game day presentation keeps fans coming back. There is also opportunity to capture and edit creative video content for the Eagles' social channels and in-venue shows. If you want to learn about in-arena production and work on a broadcast crew this is the internship for you. What You Will Gain from Us Our interns will have the opportunity to work on a real sports broadcast crew. Each night interns will have the chance to run a camera, work in graphics creation and playback, lighting, and master control giving them the chance to learn all aspects of in-arena production. Your Responsibilities Daktronics master control Broadcast graphics creation and playback Studio Camera Operator Arena/Show Lighting Creative content production Setting up and breaking down various pieces of video equipment. Communicating with the technical director and game operations director throughout the game. Participate in a pre-game meeting each night to be familiar with the show. Help with posting game highlights to social channels and website The ideal candidate will have the following attributes. A strong willingness to learn and be part of a team-player environment. A positive attitude and willingness to go above and beyond internship responsibilities. A basic knowledge of camera operations is ideal, but not necessary. A desire to learn all aspects of television and professional sports production. A creative mind with focus on creating entertainment value. A desire to learn all aspects of production. The ability to follow complex directions in a fast-paced environment. The ability and confidence to work independently and efficiently in time-sensitive situations. The ability to work most home games with reliable transportation. Experience shooting/editing video and working with Adobe products (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop), but not necessary Requirements Currently enrolled in college or a trade school and able to receive school credit. Must have own reliable mode of transportation. Must be able to work 80% of Eagles home games. Ability to lift at least 50 pounds. This is an unpaid position for college credit .
