Discharge Housekeeper - part time 3PM - 7PM - Great Hospital - 424.00 per hour.

Job Summary: 
The Environmental Services discharge cleaning staff member provides discharge cleaning of in-patient rooms according to hospital cleaning protocol. 
Environmental Services staff are responsible for always providing a safe and clean environment while observing safe practices, infection control measures, customer service standards and departmental policies as listed, but not limited to this job description. 

 
Job Responsibilities: 
-Uses proper personal protective equipment (PPE), as trained, at all times. 
-Use proper cleaning chemicals at correct dilution ratios in correctly labeled containers. 
-Uses proper cleaning techniques, proper high dusting and high touch point sanitizing. 
-Performs special project activities as needed such as wall washing, curtain hanging, window cleaning, furniture cleaning, bed movement, and other tasks as assigned. 
-Performs in-patient room discharge cleaning to ensure a clean and aseptic environment that meets approved cleaning standards. 
-Uses microfiber cleaning clothes and mops per instruction returns all cloths and mops at end of shift. 
-Maintains carts and equipment in a clean and sanitary working condition at all times. 
-Cleans, organizes and maintains all holding areas, equipment storage rooms, supply closets, and EVS always uses areas. 
-Demonstrates proper use of communication systems - phones, pagers, voceras as evidenced by proper communication response and returning pages, etc. 
-Returns all voceras, keys, and daily duty lists at the end of the shift. 
-Performs other similar related tasks as required to maintain the facility in a clean condition. 
-Practices standard precautions while completing daily tasks. 
-Demonstrates proper cleaning technique for isolation rooms, acknowledging signage and responding accordingly. 
-Does not store drink, food on carts/equipment, or in janitor closets/work areas, etc. 
-Demonstrates proper hand always washing techniques. 
-Identifies and segregates regulated waste and recyclables from general waste and ensures proper disposal procedures are followed for each. 
-Keeps current on all department communications by attending huddles, department staff meetings, training sessions, and hospital in-services. 
-Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Skills & Experience: 
-A minimum of One (1) year cleaning or relevant experience.
