Job Type : 1099 Contractor, Commission-Based, On-site 

Compensation
Commission Only — Earn One Full Month’s Rent per Unit Leased

Overview
Terraces at DeKalb is seeking a motivated and energetic Leasing Agent (Commission Only) to join our on-site team. In this role, you will be responsible for leasing apartments to prospective residents by conducting property tours, following up on leads, and assisting with the application and registration process.

Schedule: Office Hours; Monday-Friday 8a-5p; possible Saturdays depending on business needs

About you:

• 2+ years’ experience in a customer-contact capacity or customer-service role is preferred
• Past real estate leasing experience preferred
• High level of energy and a “people person” who enjoys communicating with prospective residents
• Ability to use computer programs such as Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Willingness to work flexible schedule - specifically weekends and weekdays after 5pm
• Yardi experience is a plus
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
• Must be able to walk up and down stairs; must be able to walk property for tours
• Occasionally lifting and carrying objects such as packages or office supplies (typically up to 25–50 lbs).
• Performing tasks that may require bending, stooping, or reaching, such as checking under desks or inspecting areas that are difficult to access

Core Responsibilities:
Included but not limited to:

• Present properties and provided amenities in a positive light to prospective tenants to help secure rental agreement
• Maintain awareness of apartment inventory, pricing, and availability
• Sell prospective residents on the unit features, company service, and signing a lease
• Confirm rental application data and personal references to ensure accuracy
• Coordinate with Property Manager and/or Leasing Manager on unit availability and grounds upkeep
• Ensure proper maintenance and inspect properties periodically to maintain our level of company standards
