Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first The Market CMO serves as a healthcare professional capable of handling a variety of health-related problems. The role requires an in-depth understanding of how organizational capabilities interrelate across the function or segment. As a Market CMO, you will plan, organize, manage, and supervise healthcare services offered in medical centers. You will work in conjunction with the Center Medical Directors to motivate and provide medical direction in pursuit of cost-effective, quality healthcare. Plan, organize, manage, and supervise the roles of the Center Medical Directors. Identify physician recruitment needs and collaborate in hiring and contracting providers. Establish work schedules and assignments for medical staff based on workload, space, equipment, and center needs. Oversee daily operations of physician services. Build strong relationships with specialists, hospitalists, SNFs, and other providers to form a network focused on senior population health. Responsible for medical interpretation, reviews, and decisions as required for plan administration. Monitor medical performance and provide guidance to ensure quality of care and cost-effective utilization. Oversee development, revision, and implementation of policies, procedures, systems, programs, and standards for healthcare services. Represent the organization in community and marketing events. Develop and maintain compliance with departmental and physician budgets. Assess, develop, and recommend strategies for regulatory compliance. Develop and maintain effective relationships with all departments providing medical guidance and expertise. Implement and monitor utilization review and disease management programs to meet quality and cost expectations. Identify utilization trends and implement improvement actions. Direct and orient physicians on the correct application of approved guidelines. Oversee wellness activities and the medical department. Guide and enforce service standards (Customer Service). Perform other duties as requested. Use your skills to make an impact Required Qualifications Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine Board Eligible or Board Certified in Geriatric Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine Recognized by the American Board of Physician Specialties (ABPS) or equivalent Valid, unrestricted license in the desired employment state Experience leading clinical practice operations Strong interpersonal and communication skills Willingness to learn and adapt to value-based care settings Basic computer skills, including email and EMR This role involves patient-facing activities and TB screening; TB testing will be required. Passion for improving consumer experiences Preferred Qualifications Active and unrestricted DEA license Medicare and Medicaid Provider Numbers 3-5 years of relevant experience Experience managing Medicare Advantage panels Knowledge of Medicare guidelines, HEDIS indicators, coding, and documentation in value-based care Technologically savvy and problem-solving skills Accountability and clinical knowledge Strong communication skills Additional Information Guaranteed base salary plus bonus Excellent benefits including health insurance from day one, CME allowance, malpractice insurance, relocation/sign-on bonuses, 401(k) with match, life/disability insurance, paid time off, and minimal call requirements. Occasional travel to Humana offices may be required. Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Pay Range: $270,800 - $378,800 annually, plus incentives based on performance.
