Paralegal – Family Law

Full-Time | In-Office | Plano, TX

A boutique family law firm in Plano, TX is seeking a highly skilled Paralegal to join its close-knit, in-office team. About the Role:

The paralegal will work closely with attorneys on all aspects of case management, including drafting, discovery, filings, and hearing preparation. Beyond legal work, this role plays a key part in client engagement—answering calls, assisting with intake, and helping clients feel heard and supported from their first interaction. Key Responsibilities:

• Draft and file pleadings, motions, and discovery documents
• Coordinate discovery responses and organize exhibits
• Manage case calendars and court deadlines
• Prepare hearing and mediation materials with minimal oversight
• Serve as a point of contact for clients—answering questions, gathering documentation, and providing compassionate, professional support
• Assist with initial intake and phone coverage when needed

What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in family law or civil law
• Strong understanding of Texas court procedures and filing requirements
• Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
• A warm, polished communicator who puts clients at ease and represents the firm with confidence and empathy
• Someone who enjoys working on a small team and can take initiative without needing heavy supervision
• Associate’s degree or higher preferred; paralegal certification is optional
• Spanish or Mandarin language skills are a plus, though not required
