What You’ll Do:

As a Physician (MD/DO), you will provide direct professional services in the evaluation and treatment of clients in an outpatient environment at a community mental health center. Your primary focus will be on comprehensive care, including mental health, substance use, and physical health needs. You will:

  • Evaluate patients for mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders.
  • Diagnose disorders and determine appropriate treatment plans.
  • Prescribe medication when necessary.
  • Maintain documentation consistent with quality assurance procedures.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of medical and therapeutic services.
  • Provide direct psychiatric treatment for clients.
  • Attend committee and staff meetings as required.
  • Comply with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Participate in on-call coverage on a rotating basis.

Education and Experience:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited university.
  • Experience working with marginalized communities and vulnerable populations.
  • Understanding of Medications for Addiction Treatment and harm reduction principles.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • DEA Certification.
  • Appropriate medical license in the State of Colorado.
  • Valid Colorado driver’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
  • Board certified or eligible with plans for certification.

Compensation and Benefits

The typical hiring range for this position is between $217,000 and $270,000 annually , based on relevant experience.
