SAP Basis Administrator IV Position

Essential Utilities, Inc., has a SAP Basis Administrator IV position in Pittsburgh, PA.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business users, Project Management Office (PMO), and IT Applications teams to determine SAP technology requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and expertise to other Basis Administrators, Applications analysts, Infrastructure engineers, Security analysts, contractors, and service providers to ensure SAP landscape is configured consistent with Essential's standards and SAP best practices.
• Develop and execute comprehensive installation, upgrade, and maintenance plans for all SAP technologies.
• Provide technical support on a 24/7 basis; debug and resolve complex problems spanning multiple technology platforms.
• Recommend modifications or innovative enhancements to existing systems to satisfy specialized needs and configurations.
• Perform HANA and SQL database administration, including database creation, standby system configuration, monitoring, performance management, and backup/recovery.
• Provide capacity planning for the effective use of current systems and plan for growth of the corporation.
• Lead disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution of the plan when warranted in a real time/life situation and by way of annual testing.
• Plan, install, configure, and support interfaces to third party technologies such as RunMyJobs, Service Suite, PowerPlan, Blackline, OpenText, SAP Analytics Cloud, Adobe Forms and other systems as required.
• Follow security design and operational best practices to ensure the SAP landscape is operated and maintained in a secure manner.
• Lead the development and delivery of architectural, configuration, and process documentation that clearly and concisely captures the key components of a solution.
• Provide expertise and knowledge of emerging technologies and assist in determining possible application to the business.
• Provide leadership to architecture working groups that includes architects and engineers from various technical areas.

Computer-related bachelor's degree and ten years of SAP Basis software engineering required. Some experience with ABAP stack, Java stack administration, SAP application upgrades and conversions, SAP OS/DB and hardware migrations, SAP HR SP upgrades and CUA required.
