MultiLingual Solutions, Inc. (MLS) is a comprehensive foreign language services firm that provides full-spectrum linguistic, analytical, and operational support to U.S. Government and private sector customers. MLS provides services in over 100 languages and resources in more than 60 countries. MLS mobilizes the linguistic, technical, and management personnel to meet critical communications and operational objectives. Based in the Washington, D.C., Metropolitan area, MLS is accessible 24/7 to respond to short-fused, ongoing, and surge requirements worldwide. We are actively seeking a Chinese Linguist to join our team. You will be responsible for supporting a government agency and your office with translation, transcription, and/or interpretation services. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The linguist will provide translation, transcription, and interpretation services. Occasional travel is required, with TDYs ranging from one to two weeks, once or twice per year. Requirements: - Active TS/SCI Clearance with adjudicated Polygraph
- Ability to pass an advanced English test
- Ability to score ILR Level 3 or higher on target language translation test
- Five years of professional experience in translation, transcription, and interpretation
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree desired
- Translation into English and Chinese language
- Transcription into English and Chinese language
- Quality Control of language products
- Summarizing/Gisting while drawing upon linguistic or cultural expertise
- Translation Related Services (TRS)
- Experience in the use of Microsoft Office and Sharepoint Clearance Requirements: All Candidates must be U.S. Citizens. Preference will be given to Candidates with TS/SCI with CI poly. However, all other candidates with any level of clearance, including those with no clearance but who are deemed eligible, may be considered.
