Job Description

About The Role:

A globally renowned design consultancy specialising in wayfinding and strategic planning is seeking a confident and proactive Senior Wayfinding Planner to join their team in their growing San Francisco office.

In this role, you’ll work closely with design teams, leading strategy implementation to meet project and client deadlines while collaborating with international offices. Strong research and analytical skills are essential for tackling complexity, generating insights, and developing clear solutions. Beyond your daily responsibilities, you’ll also contribute to expanding the business’s presence in “work winning.”

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of complex wayfinding solutions for interior and exterior environments
  • Conduct research and analysis to navigate complex situations and develop actionable insights
  • Translate ideas into clear and effective wayfinding solutions
  • Collaborate with design teams to integrate and implement strategies
  • Balance competing demands to support project and client deadlines
  • Contribute to the growth of the US business by working with company leadership to secure new clients and projects
  • Participate in domestic and international travel for on-site work, project meetings, and presentations

Key Skills/Requirements:

  • Previous experience in spatial design / wayfinding, transportation systems, urban design, architecture, or related fields
  • Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, civil engineering, architecture, or a similar discipline (AICP membership is advantageous)
  • Proven ability to drive transportation design, operations, and regulatory projects forward
  • Strong background in stakeholder engagement, public consultation, or market research
  • Excellent communication skills, with a talent for writing reports, preparing proposals, and facilitating meetings
  • Proficient in Google Suite, Adobe Creative Suite and project management tools
  • Multilingual abilities is beneficial
  • Experience with ArcGIS highly desirable
