This position plays a strategic and technical role in building, maintaining, and enhancing client websites. If you enjoy solving problems with code, mentoring others, collaborating cross-functionally, and delivering clean, high-performing websites-then we want to hear from you! Primary Job Functions: The Senior Web Developer is responsible for leading and executing advanced web development projects and supporting the development team with technical expertise. While the team specializes in backend development, CSS styling, database management, and launch execution-this role is pivotal in elevating our development processes, tools, and outcomes. Develop and implement backend solutions for complex client sites using PHP, MySQL, and custom WordPress functions Style and structure homepage and inner pages using CSS and front-end frameworks based on design team mockups Manage and troubleshoot DNS, SSL, and database configurations during website launches Perform ongoing maintenance tasks, including plugin updates, performance optimization, and issue resolution Work within WordPress, utilizing themes, child themes, custom post types, and plugin development as needed Integrate APIs to enhance functionality Maintain thorough documentation of all development work Provide mentorship and technical guidance to other developers Participate in team meetings to report on project progress and technical roadblocks Reports to: Lead Developer Work Hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday Friday; some weeknights and weekends required based on seasonality Pay Rate: $35.00 to $45.00 an hour, depending on experience Benefits: Full benefits package including 401(k) with employer 3% matching; medical insurance with minimal employee contribution (includes HRA); supplemental insurances; employer-paid life/AD&D; EAP; PTO accrual (3.08 hours biweekly); 6 paid holidays; and more Why Work for Us?
