The essential functions and responsibilities include: Providing coaching and support for students through one-on-one and group environments. Driving learner engagement via regular outreach. Encouraging students, reinforcing positive behaviors, and celebrating milestones. Using motivational interviewing techniques to promote positive behavior change. Facilitating WGU Academy’s PACA readiness curriculum, including coaching and online sessions. Collaborating with team members and supporting continuous improvement. Analyzing data to improve student success. Assisting students with systems and administrative issues. Performing other duties as assigned. The knowledge & abilities required include strong communication skills, high energy, attention to detail, independence, student obsession, adaptability, foundational knowledge of motivational interviewing, experience supporting adult learners, and familiarity with platforms like Salesforce, Webex, and Tableau. A minimum of 3+ years of certified coaching experience is required. The minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree, an accredited coaching certification, and 3+ years of coaching experience. Preferred qualifications include ICF or NBHWC certification, experience with adult learners and at-risk students, familiarity with CRM tools, and specific professional experiences as outlined.
