We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Echo Tech - Echo/Ultrasound/Sonographer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our cardiovascular department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and advancing the field of pediatric cardiology.

Overview

As a Pediatric Echo Tech, you will be responsible for performing high-quality echocardiograms, interpreting images, and collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to provide expert care to children with complex congenital heart defects. You will work closely with pediatric cardiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that our patients receive the best possible care. With a daily caseload of 4-10 patients and a variety of shifts available, including early morning and late morning shifts, you will have the opportunity to develop a wide range of skills and expertise.

Required Skills

• Registered Pediatric Sonographer (ARDMS) with the PE certification or CCI with the RCCS certification
• Proficient in complex congenital heart defects
• Experience with GE (vivid 95) and PACS system entering full reports (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of pediatric cardiology and echocardiography principles
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience with other echocardiography equipment and software
• Knowledge of pediatric cardiac anatomy and physiology
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and other healthcare software
• BLS certification

Preferred Education and Experience

• 2 years of experience in pediatric echocardiography or a related field
• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., sonography, cardiology, or a related field)

Other Requirements

• Must be proficient in scanning pediatric echocardiograms and have extensive knowledge of complex heart disease and defects
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time
