Position Summary:Under the direction of the laboratory manager, is responsible for performing laboratory tests, quality control procedures and communication with physicians, nurses and patients.\nPosition Qualifications:\n\nBachelors degree in Medical Technology or a related filed required. Must be board eligible by NCA or ASCP and complete board certification within one year of employment\nOne to three years of related or progressively more responsible experience in chemistry, blood bank, hematology and microbiology or formal student internship\nCertification at MT by American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or CLS by National Accrediting Agency (NCA) within one year of employment\nClinical laboratory instrumentation\nLaboratory generalist\nMust be capable of working independently and providing direction to Medical Laboratory Assistants.\n\n\nPlease make note of the following information: Private Housing is not provided. All housing are shared units. No Pets allowed. Airfare is paid initially by the candidate and/or the agency and will be reimbursed upon the candidate's arrival here in Bethel, AK. Please let us know when this is done. Note: We require to receive the flight itinerary information for the candidate at least one (1) week in advance to ensure that we can provide scheduling of New Employee Orientation class attendance, Housing, etc. (Please send this information directly to ). New Employee Orientation occurs every Tuesday and Wednesday ONLY. We DO NOT pick up returning travelers.
