Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with a MO or compact license and trauma OR experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Position is in the hospital Operating Room
• Patient ratios are 1 RN to 2 patients
• Responsibilities include general and trauma OR cases
• Day shift schedule with 5x8 hour shifts from 6:45 to 15:15
• On-call required with 9-12 shifts per 6-week period, including possible weekend coverage
• Floating may be required between departments, units, and facilities within scope
• Epic EMR is used and training will be provided
• Responsibilities include circulating and scrubbing for general and trauma surgeries as assigned
• Candidates may be required to float to other locations within the system as needed
• Up to 7 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed during assignment
• Pre-start and orientation modules, including Epic training, must be completed before start
• Team will provide support and training on Epic and equipment use as needed
• Tenure policy requires an 18-month break in service before reapplying for a travel role
• No travel partners accepted for this assignment

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active MO or compact RN license required; both Kansas and Missouri licenses or compact license must be in hand due to floating requirements
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent OR RN experience, including trauma
• At least 1 full year of in-specialty experience within the past 12 months without a gap greater than 90 days
• First-time travelers accepted
• No local candidates accepted; must live at least 75 miles from the facility
• Pending license accepted
• Two professional references from the past year required, one supervisor-level or higher and one charge RN
• Drug screening and lab completion required as part of onboarding
