We are seeking a Master's Level Behavioral Health Provider or Licensed Psychologist to provide GI focused behavioral services to our adult GI patients. Evidence based interventions include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, relaxation strategies (diaphragmatic breathing, progressive muscle relaxation), Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, psychoeducation (brain-gut connection, coping with chronic illness and gut directed hypnotherapy. As a core member of the clinical team, you will have access to ongoing training and support from a GI-focused clinical team (GI/MD, GI-experienced Nurse Practitioners, Registered Dietitians) to help you develop a working knowledge of digestive health conditions (IBD, IBS, GERD, SIBO, etc.) and implement GI focused psychological services. Your role will complement services provided by other members of the care team. Prior experience in the area(s) of GI Psychology and/or Health Psychology in general is preferred but not essential. Our team can provide training, in addition to ongoing consultation and support.

What you'll do

  • In a digital integrated healthcare environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of care providers (including MDs, Dietitians) to provide a comprehensive and coordinated approach to member care
  • Utilize evidenced-based clinical interventions (including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, relaxation strategies (diaphragmatic breathing, progressive muscle relaxation), Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, psychoeducation (brain-gut connection, coping with chronic illness) and gut directed hypnotherapy.
  • Complete biopsychosocial assessments to design and implement relevant and concrete goals that support clients in achieving meaningful outcomes related to their GI condition(s).
  • Initiate and maintain health records and encounters in electronic health record and comply with guidelines outlined within company clinical protocols and other related manuals.
  • Participate in professional training activities to maintain licensure and advance knowledge base
  • Participate in clinical coordination meetings with other care team members
  • Contribute to company wide development of psychological best practices and feedback to share your professional experience with other team members and further improve member experiences

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or doctorate in psychology, counseling, social work, or other relevant field.
  • Active License to practice therapy in good standing (PsyD, PhD, LPC, LCSW,LICSW, MA in Psychology). Multi-state licensure is highly valued.
  • 2+ Years Relevant experience delivering Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, teaching relaxation strategies that impact brain-gut connection, Motivational Interviewing, (experience with GI focused care is a plus)
  • Ability to work alongside and communicate effectively with other care providers (e.g., MD, Nurse Practitioner, Registered Dietitian)
  • Comfortable and competent with using common administrative technologies (e.g. Zoom, Slack, Office, Google Drive, or equivalent), charting electronically, experience delivering on telehealth platforms preferred

While the salary range provided outlines the potential earning scope for this role, final offers are tailored to each candidate's expertise, contributions, and alignment with internal equity among peers in similar roles. Oshi utilizes the entire compensation range, and we expect candidates offered positions with our company to fall widely throughout the range.The candidate we hire may have more experience (or less) than what is outlined in this job description. If that's the case, an updated level and salary range will be shared during the hiring process.

Compensation Range

$80,000—$90,000 USD
